About the Development

This project is supported under the England Rural Development Programme by the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs and the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund.

The concept for the development originated in 2000, when the owners saw a need for diversification from the family dairy farm.  The original concept incorporated offices, a day spa and hairdressers.  Various amendments were made until the final three complementary businesses were arrived at.  The nursery was the first business to open in March 2006, followed a year later by the day spa, and finally the swimming school opened its doors in May 2007.

The nursery was originally a calf feeding shed, the restaurant was created from the building where older calves were housed, the spa was a storge building and the swimming pool replaces a machinery shed.
